Toward Affordable Systems

U.S. Army leadership has called for lifecycle costs to be considered during the design and development stages of new technologies. This is so that changes can be made to ensure that the equipment produced will be affordable throughout its lifecycle. This study demonstrates a method and model for how lifecycle costs can be incorporated into the management process of Army science and technology programs.
